Dual Quantitative RT-PCR Kits |
How it works Each target gene is co-amplified with a specific housekeeping gene resulting in quantitative PCR amplification in a single tube. Maxim has integrated Multiplex PCR proprietary and patented technology into this Dual Quantitative PCR amplification kit. The pre-optimized conditions make the Dual quantitative PCR amplification as simple as a standard PCR reaction. The user first selects a housekeeping gene that does not change expression level in response to treatment. Co-amplification of the desired target gene with the selected housekeeping gene provides a quantitative result. Changes in gene expression level may be monitored, while avoiding sample-to-sample loading variation. This dual quantitative PCR amplification kit provides a complete solution for RT-PCR gene expression and identification needs. Kit Components
Dual Quantitative RT-PCR improves upon current RT-PCR technology by providing a relatively quantitative analysis of gene expression. Maxim's Dual Quantitative RT-PCR kit was developed and based on Maxim's proprietary, patented multiplex PCR (MPCR) technology. The duality of the kit derives from the dual amplification of one target specific gene alongside a well-defined housekeeping gene. To compensate for differences in quality between various RNA samples, the amount of product from the gene of interest is normalized against the product from the constant endogenous control gene. The user need only to select a proper housekeeping gene whose expression level does not change in response to treatment. Maxim provides the following housekeeping genes: |
