Ce dispositif est le micro-frère du Float-A-lyzer, aussi pratique et efficace, pour dialyser des micro-volumes de 10-100µl !

La membrane de dialyse, en cellulose régénérée, forme un sac sans embase, qui maximise le rapport surface/volume et donc la vitesse de dialyse.

Ce gel, formé de polyacrylate/polyalcool, absorbe l’eau au travers de la membrane de dialyse, jusqu'à 1000 fois son poids, concentrant l’échantillon dialysé sans le contaminer. Il augmente de volume, restant insoluble, sans devenir collant, ce qui facilite la récupération du dispositif de dialyse. Il s’utilise avec tous les dispositifs de dialyse et les tubes conventionnels de dialyse.

Utilisé avec le Float-A-lyser de cutoff 15Kda, un volume de 5ml est réduit à 0.5ml en 90min avec 10g de spectra-gel.

Heavy Metals Cleaning

The Spectra/Por Heavy Metals Cleaning solution can be used to remove the heavy metal contamination found in traditional regenerated cellulose membranes. This chelating wash can be used to remove these heavy metals in situations where they would interfere with later analysis of the dialysate or the retentate, especially where they would interfere with protein function. Each heavy metals cleaning kit, part number 132908, can clean several hundred feet of tubing.

Instructions for Use:

• Make a wash solution with 1 part of cleaning solution and 9 part of deionized water.

• Soak the membrane in the wash solution for 5 minutes.

• Complete the cleaning by washing the membrane in deionized water for several minutes.

Sulfide Removal

Spectra/Por series 1 through 6 contain about 0.1% sulfur remaining from the manufacturing process. This may be removed if its presence might interfere with the subsequent use of the dialysate or retentate. Each sulfide removal kit, part number 132906, can clean several hundred feet of tubing.

Note: For ease of use, we recommend Spectra/Por 7 membranes, which are already treated to remove the contaminants, or BioTech membranes which are made from chemically pure cellulose, or type F (PVDF) membrane wich are devoided of sulfu and heavy metals.

Note: Trace elements found in Spectra/Por RC series 1 through 6 are (ppm): Calcium < 0.02, Chromium 0.1–0.2, Copper 0.8–1.2, Iron 20–60, Lead 2.0–6.0, Magnesium 0.1–0.3, Nickel 1.3–1.7, and Zinc 1.5–5.0.

Instructions for Use:

• Make a first wash solution with 1 part of Solution A and 2 parts of deionized water.

• Heat the first wash solution to 80°C and wash the membrane in this solution for 1 minute.

• Transfer the membrane to a container of 60°C deionized water and soak it for 2 minutes.

• Add Solution B to the wash water at a rate of 4 mL of Solution B per 100 mL of water.

• Let the membrane soak for an additional minute.

• Complete the sulfide removal by washing the membrane in deionized water for several minutes.

• Complete the sulfide removal by washing the membrane in deionized water for several minutes.
