Column Protection

 

To get the best of your HPLC column, essential part of your chromatography system, you must protected it from contaminants.

The different contamination modes are now clearly identified and efficient solutions have been found.

The use of a guard cartridge is certainly the best protection against sample chemical pollution of the sample. It is often filled with the same silica as the one found in the column. It acts as a real "fuse" and must be replaced periodically to ensure optimal protection.
