Uptisphere, Mixed-Mode

Uptisphere Mixed-mode phases are characterized by their double functionality.

  • RCX and MM1 : Hydrophobic / Strong Cation Exchanger (SCX)

  • RAX : Hydrophobic / Strong Anion Exchanger (SAX)

  • RPH : Hydrophobic / Phenyl

Uptisphere RCX, RAX and RPH has a bi-functional silane.

Uptisphere MM1 has two different silanes bonded on the silica.

Compared to traditional phases, the Uptisphere Mixed-mode fashion permits a better discrimination of the molecules of a complex mixture.

Applications:

  • RCX : analysis of basic polar and non polar compounds

  • RAX : analysis of acidic polar and non polar compounds

  • RPH : analysis of non polar compounds, molecules with plan effect or electronic delocalisation

  • MM1 : Drugs of abuse
