LIFE SCIENCES > Biochemistry & Proteomics > Protein Expression

Protein expression is commonly used by proteomics researchers to denote the measurement of the presence and abundance of one or more proteins in a particular cell or tissue (reporter assays). It is also used for producing and purifying proteins. Formed recombinant proteins used for functional assays, high throughput screens, antigen generation, structural analysis, and many other drug discovery applications. These involve bacteria, mammalian, insect or plants cells, but also vectors for in vivo expression, or complex enzymatic preparations for in vitro expression.
Transfection of ‘interfering’ RNA are designed to inhibit and suppress target protein expression (silencing).

To address these important applications, Interchim provides a comprehensive portfolio of protein expression systems.
