SARS-CoV-2, the cause of the COVID-19 pandemic currently affecting all countries in the world, belongs to the beta-coronaviruses genus, which also includes the SARS CoV (2003) and the MERS CoV (2012).
If vaccines have arrived to undermine the pandemic, the development of a curative treatment would be an answer to all unvaccinated people. And at a time when many variants are spreading, vaccination cannot be the answer on its own.
