UV detector technical description:
- Wavelength range 190 - 840 nm or 200-600nm (256 elements on CCD)
- Typical spectral half-width 8 nm ( resolution: 4nm)
- Adjustment accuracy ± 1 nm
- Reproducibility ± 0.5 nm
- Light source Deuterium discharge lamp and halogen lamp
- Noise level at test cell (254 nm, TC 0.75 s) ± 5 x 10-5 AU
- Drift at test cell (254 nm after 1 h) 1 x 10-3 AU/hr
- Sensitivity: 2x10-5 Au
- The maximum absorbance ( saturation) is 2.5Au for the 200-600 nm detector and 3 Au for the 190-840 nm detector. The maximum absorbance is governed by the wavelength, so we say rather 2.5
even though we know that it can go higher.
- The service life of the halogen lamp is the same that of the deuterium lamp. The warranty is the same for both lamps.
Flash UV - Analytical UV comparison:
- Flash: 256 LED
- Analytical: 2048 LED (Resolution is better than Flash Detector)
