Hello,

I would like to analyse in GC the purity of methyl-2-propanol-2 .
Before analyse it was diluted in water. Which column is the most appropriated for this analyse? I thought a DB-624 pr DB-1 but I would like to have your opinion ?

If nothing else is present in the sample, both will work but water is not really a good GC solvent and for the non polar DB-1 even more difficult to handle.
If ever possible you should take another solvent (alcohol) and take a standard 30 m DB-624.
