Capillary column for butylèneglycol, ethylèneglycol ... ?

Hello everyone,

So, I would like to analyse on a capillary column : butylèneglycol, ethylèneglycol, pentilène, propylène, methylpropanediol, hexylenediol, glycérol and 2-ethyl-hexylpropandiol.
Do you think a DB-WAX can separate all this coupounds?
The thing is, I'm afraid by coelution of glycerol and 2-ethylhexylpropandiol ...
Does somebody have an application? Do you think an DB-624 is more appropriated?

thanks for the reading,

Mary

Good evening Mary,

To my mind you are right with your idea to go for a DB-624 especially if you think about the propylene and pentylene where there is no chance for a WAX column, but also a DB-624 is on its limit and you would have to start at -20°C ...
