To detect apoptotic cells in retina by TUNEL method, the TACS® 2 TdT DAB Kit (cat# 4810-30-K) is recommended.
In-house labeling of rat retina (fresh frozen tissue) using the TACS® 2 TdT DAB gives excellent results when the samples are treated with Cytonin or a 1:200 dilution of Proteinase K for 10 minutes, and compared to a positive control treated with TACS-Nuclease.
