The Trevigen CometSlide™ was designed to be used without coverslips because removal of the coverslip could lift agarose and cause damage to the samples.
In order to reduce fading, coverslips are used after the application of Anti-fade Solution. Restaining of slides is not recommended after application of Anti-fade Solution and coverslip.
