I am having a pulsating flow problem, what should I do?

Pulsating flow may arise from several sources:
- Pump (blocked gradient valve, T, tubing or valves, or a partially blocked mixing chamber)
- Injection valve
- Column support (partially blocked connectors)
- UV detector (partially blocked connectors, fouled UV cell)
- built-in ELSD (partially blocked split valve)
- Collector (blocked or defective 3-way valve)

To identify the incriminated module, disconnect each individual module from the fluids, then perform a purge.
Once the module has been identified, eliminate each part individually until the defective part has been identified.
