Adaptor Plate with Multi-PAGE^TM Pre-Cast Gels

Directions for use

AMRESCO pre-cast Multi-PAGE gels fit into most electrophoresis systems. When using the systems listed below, the described adjustments must be made to ensure optimal results.

Owl Penguin Water-cooled Dual-gel system, Model P8DS:

BioRad Mini Protean II system (Use 8x10cm gels):

• Before use, remove the tape from the gel cassette.

• Place adaptor plate against the blank glass plate.

• Clamp gel/adaptor assembly into the upper buffer chamber of the unit and gently tighten the four screws to seal gel against the gasket.

• To ensure a proper seal, the gasket must be reversed. Remove the grey gasket from the chamber.

•  Reinsert the gasket into the groove with the flat edge facing out.

• To properly align the gel cassette, place clamp assembly on casting stand and position gel in the aligning slot on the base of the stand.

• Gently tighten both pairs of screws and snap the gel/clamp assembly onto the cooling core.

Novex System:

• Place an adaptor plate against the blank glass plate of each gel and slide assembly into the buffer chamber.

• To seal, position front and rear wedges as normal.
