Uptisphere, BioP I & BioP II for Bioanalysis

 

 

Analysis

 

BioP I and BioP II columns have been designed to fulfil the analytical demands of bioanalysis, a common requirement of pharmaceutical DMPK departments. The silica support of the BioP column has been adapted to accommodate the "cruder" samples often utilised in DMPK and the subsequent reduced extraction characteristics. BioP supports have unparalleled mechanical strength, displaying up to three times the shelf life of other manufacturers silica. The BioP I support is comparable to the Uptisphere C18-ODB support and is suited to analysis of moderately polar and non-polar compounds. BioPII is comparable to Uptisphere C18-HDO support, it has a better affinity for hydrophilic compounds and facilitates the use of an aqueous mobile phase. To optimise sample extraction, Interchim recommend the use of Upti-clean and Atoll sample.

On line extraction: Upti-Trap

 

The Upti-trap on line extraction system offers an optimal method for sample recovery. The systems requires two pumps, the first for extraction and the second for elution.

1- Extraction mode:

The mains compounds of interest are trapped while the residual sample is removed through the wash process.

 

2- Elution mode:

The mobile phase of second pump elute the principal compounds of interest. This compound is then analysed on the analytical column.

Direct injection of complex matrix

 

Interchim has designed Direct Injection Columns (DIC) for the quick analysis of drugs in biological fluids.

These columns are packed with 30 µm Atoll XC and AEV.

XC is very hydrophobic while AEV is both hydrophobic/hydropholic.

In case of multi drugs analysis, Interchim recommend either Uptisphere BioP I aor BioP II for the analytical reverse phase column.
