I am having an excess pressure problem, what should I do?
Concerned instruments: puriFlash 215, puriFlash 430, puriFlash 450, puriFlash 4100, puriFlash 4250
Concerned module: pump
Excess pressure incident:
This may be due to clogging of the gradient valve.
Rinse the gradient valve with MeOH, water, or with a high eluent solvent to remove the clogging by progressively increasing the flow rate.
If the problem persists, contact the After-sales service for replacement.
Systematic excess pressure incident:
A/ The mixing chamber may be blocked (dust build-up).
Generally, the problem arises when the same bottles are systematically used to hold the solvent.
Remove the mixing chamber and check the sinters.
Contact the After-sales service for sinter replacement if necessary.
B/ A part is blocked, there are several possible causes:
- The product may have precipitated in the column
- A tube may be pinched
- A product may have precipitated in the UV cell
To identify the blocked part, disconnect the module or tubing from the fluids, then purge.
Once identified, replace the blocked part.
For this, contact the After-sales service.
